Today I will introduce about traditional Japanese New Year.

This photo is Tsuruoka Hachimanguu in Kamakura.
Tsuruoka Hachimanguu is one of my favorite shrine.

Many Japanese go to worship at a shrine in the New year day.

So in January 1,2,3, the shrine will be very crowded.

This photo is also taken in the New year day.

Some people wear Kimono to go to the shrine because it is a New Years day.

They go there and pray that this year will be good.

Although they are not religious, but it is a part of their tradition.

After they pray, they buy some amulet and get a written fortune.
